If you're ready to bring your swing to the next level, here is finally a class that expains all the Whys of West Coast Swing.
You must have dancing WCS for a minimum of two(2) years and be solid intermediate or level 3-4 dancer to Qualify.
This will be a balanced class so let us know if you are registering solo.
Cost is $70:00 for 6 weeks beginning May 15th. or $60:00 if paid by April 14th. (no drop-ins). Class size will be limited.

Just a reminder that on Friday, April 18th, the Roaring Twenties Jazz Orchestra brings their Musical Tour Through Jazz History back to Fat City! This will be a great concert, an education in the progression of jazz, and a brilliant call to come out and dance up a storm! (Yeah, that's three big fat reasons to come.)
We'll start off with the ragtime tunes that shook up the musical world in the early 1900s. From there, the band will take us through the hot jazz and Tin Pan Alley favourites of the 1920s, and then onward through the heyday of swing to wrap up the evening with the big band pieces of the 1940s. This will be a real treat. Dress up in the style of your favourite vintage decade between the 1910s and the 1940s and you could win a free evening in Fat City! As it is a band night, general admission will be $12; students with valid ID enter for $10. Doors open at 7:30, the beginner lesson runs from 8 until 9, and then the tour carries us through to 11:30. See you on the dance floor!

The doors will still open at 12:00 with a half hour practice session (yet to be determined)
The dance will start at 12:30 as usual and the tickets for a full 3 hour dance will be $10.00 (12:30-3:30) which includes Tim Horton's Coffee (decaf & Reg), juices and munchies.
"FIRST Half"The first 1 1/2 hours (12:30-2:00) will be a Ballroom/Swing dance "SECOND Half"2:00-3:30 will be a Salsa/Latin dance for $5.00 - Lots of Salsa, plus Cumbia, Bachata, Rumba, Merenge, Samba, and Cha Cha
So, you can do the whole dance for $10.00 or drop-in for the SECOND half for $5.00! Beginners especially, this is for you too! Just taking lessons just isn't good enough, you need to put your skills to work on a real floor to FABULOUS, INSPIRING music! And it's incredibly important to dance with different people, so we'll have a Salsa mixer!

The first Saturday of the month we host Le Club Tango from 8:30- midnight and we have a licensed bar There is a Free mini lesson at 9pm and we play Classic Tango/ Latin/ Nuevo/house music. Our Wes Coast Swing dancers love the Tango Fusion because they can Dance West Coast Swing to it .
The Cost is $10 for Members and $12 Guests
We also offer practices sessions on Sunday for every dance
